My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Recap: The Return of Harmony Pt. 2

I have to say, I loved this two-parter way more than the last one. Somewhat because this time we don't need to really introduce the characters so we can focus more on the plot, but mostly because IT WAS AN AWESOME PLOT. (As you can tell, I watch for the plot.) The team came through with flying colors (no pun intended) once again with the friendship message - "friendship isn't always easy, but it's worth fighting for." That's one of the reasons that I love this show - friendship is something I think that everyone (and everypony) can still learn about no matter what the age. Without friendship, where would we be in the world? We'd all be Anger Pies, Rainbow Ditches, Applelies, Rarigreeds, and Flutterbrutes. Don't call me a wimp, but I almost cried during Twilight's friendship report montage.

I felt so bad for Spike in this episode! Especially when Flutterbrute called him "Rainbow Crash".

So, apparently we've named her "Screwball." ...Yeah.

I knew dog-ified Macintosh was gonna get abused by the fan base. I just knew it.

Discord was even awesomer in the second half than he was in the first! It's sad that Mom doesn't like the ponies, because she's a huge Star Trek: TNG fan.

The animation and special effects in this whole thing - simply divine. *standing ovation*

Trying to rope down Rainbow Ditch - EPIC SCENE. I love when Fluttershy gets that passion that drove her in "Dragonshy" and "Stare Master."

It looks like Twilight's been practicing her magic, what with that big bubble thing.

All in all, it was a wonderful two-parter, and I think we have a wonderful season to look forward to.

...I just hope the CMCs have stopped fighting by now.

Just wanted to note off a few points I noticed about the ep. After the second half premieres, I'll probably go more into depth about it.

Since when does Sweet Apple Acres grow CORN?
I don't like it when the CMCs fight. Why are they fighting? Is there something that happened off screen that we didn't see, or are they just fighting to teach the targeted audience a lesson?
According to the FiM Wiki site, Bell Perin and Twinkle were possibly on one of the Discord stained glass windows. I don't know who the pegasus is.
I have to give mad props to Celestia in this episode. She rocks the drama.
I may be reading too much into this, but hear me out - I don't know if that's how she's supposed to look to tell the audience it's a lie, or maybe Applejack is trying to somehow overcome Discord's hypnosis.
The laughter balloons in Pinkie's "fantasy" were EXTREMELY creepy. And I have a feeling they're gonna be just fodder for the next creepy Pinkie fanfic.

"Still Got Legs" TROCKS!

"The Subwave Signal" - Literally, just sounds like a space-y signal...but still cool!

"Regenerate Me" - THE DOCTOR SHALL NEVER DIE! He laughs at your pathetic attempts!

"Nightmares" - Not exactly sure where the band got the inspiration, but it still sounds pretty cool.

"Traveling Man" - One of the awesome "in admiration of the Doctor" songs that I love CC for.

"Everything is Ending" - Eleven/Amy fluff during the end of "Flesh and Stone"! XD (At least, I think that's where they were going with it...)

"Mr. Pond" - Honestly, a little depressing after the previous song. It's a good from-Rory's-perspective song, but I just wish it wasn't, y'know?

"Kiss the Girl" - WAY better than the Little Mermaid song of the same name, let me tell you. ^^

"Knock Four Times" - Basically an early prelude for "The Doctor is Dying".

"Teenage Rebel" - Describes the Doctor SO well, and a really awesome jam song.

"Big Bang Two" - I'm not sure if I like the album version or Charlie's uke version better!

"Eleven" - A really cool instrumental composition.

"The Sound of Drums" - A bit creepy for me, 'cause I was never a big Master fan (Master fangirls, don't kill me!).

"Silence and the End of All Things" - Honestly, nearly made me cry the first time I listened to it. It's never wonderful to hear the Doctor leaving you.

"The Doctor is Dying" - Makes me mourn for Ten, but in a good way. The song itself is really cool until the part near the end where they reverse the vocals, then it's just weird...

"Still Not Ginger" - Just a cute little ditty to round off the album. "The worst part is that it's actually kind of tasty..."

My mom now thinks I'm crazy because I like My Little Pony.

But honestly, she doesn't know what she's talking about.

She's only seen one episode - and it wasn't even the pilot! Of course she won't understand if she doesn't watch the pilot!

And has she HEARD the Winter Wrap-Up song?! Has she SEEN Rainbow Dash perform the Sonic Rainboom?! Has she SEEN Twilight vanquish an Ursa Minor?!

Has she flown to Canterlot?! Has she ever bucked an apple tree?! Does she know the pain of not having a cutie mark?! Does she know the six Elements of Harmony?!

...I showed her a picture of Doctor Whooves, but I don't think she was all that impressed.

Bada-bing Bada-boom

Hey, earthlies.

Guess what I've been watching for practically the last twenty-four hours straight?

...Stumped?

CYBERCHASE!!

Omigod, I used to love this show when I was in grade school. It really taught me a lot, but I was more into it for the adventure. And the characters were so awesome. The Cybersquad all have their own little recurring quirks - Jackie's the girly girl who's always getting squicked out by bugs ("Ew! Ew! And double ew!") and making plans, and she thinks best when pacing. Matt's the sports guy who jumps in headfirst, and he thinks best when he's yo-yo-ing. And Inez is the brainiac (who surprisingly has a pretty good basketball shot), and she thinks best when she stands on her head. She also gets annoyed whenever Matt calls her "Nezzie", but I think it's adorable.

And then Digit (who's voiced by Gilbert Gottfried, one of my favorite voice actors) who's absolutely HILARIOUS. I swear, his beak must be like rubber by now, considering how many times it's gotten scrunched up.

Hacker will always be in my top ten list of all-time amazing villains. He's just so...gha, you want to hate him so much but you can't because at points he's just so ridiculous! And Delete (one of Hacker's henchbots) I just simply adore. He's just so sweet and cute and he so doesn't need to be a villain at all. You should have seen him in "Of All the Luck" (season 1) when he was cooing over the lucky bunny - it was so sweet! I kinda wish Hacker HAD gotten him that bunny and we could see adorableness in later episodes.

I'm determined to watch the series from start to finish (thanks to this awesome chick on YouTube who's uploaded all the episodes). I'm working through Season 2 now, but apparently I have a long way to go.

...I am SUCH a nerd. While I could be out planting trees or finding a cure for cancer, I sit, holed up in my room, and watch cartoons from my childhood. How awesome am I? (sarcasm)

So, for the longest time, I have been a fan of computer games. "Diner Dash" was what really got me hooked, and I've been abusing the "extra-five-minutes" Yahoo! Games glitch for years. But, it seems now that they have noticed this so-called "glitch" and have fixed it - even on their oldest games. I am, to say the least, peeved. But not anymore.

Aside from Yahoo! Games, I have also been in the watch of some other game sites, like Big Fish Games, GameHouse, Playfirst.com, and so on. But only today did I realize that iWin had a "free" section. And OMIGOD, there are so many of my favorites in that section it's unbelievable! Just to list a few...

I'm sorry, I'm a little emotional right now, because I just finished re-watching the Season 5 Christmas special. When it premiered last December, it made me emotional, but it didn't make me cry. This time it did. Big time. Not as much as when Ten regenerates, but I was still very weepy. I just love the story, and Michael Gambon and Katherine Jenkins are simply AMAZING. She has *Clarkson impersonation* litrally the best voice in the world...

5 Jellicle Cats Nail Designs

I've come up with not one, but FIVE nail art designs all inspired by different characters in "Cats"! Here's a little how-to to get these fabulous looks.

Before we start, here's a list of all the products I used:

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in "White On"

L.A. Colors Art Deco Detail Brush in "Black" (This will be your best friend for these designs!)

Let's start with Victoria (my pinkie):

What you want to do first is paint your entire nail white.

Using the Sally Hansesn "Sheer Vanilla", use a toothpick or a nail art brush to create a small hatching design in the lower corner of your nail. (I didn't have either of those tools, so my hatching came out a little blob-ish.)

Then, mixing the pink and white together to create a lighter shade (or if you already have a pink that shade, feel free to use it), go back in with your detail tool and draw a small bow on the tip of your nail. (Again, malformed.)

And then Victoria's design is done! Don't worry about there being not enough contrast - that's the idea. Much to our disappointment, Victoria is not completely white, but she does give off the illusion like she is, so I wanted to incorporate that idea into the design with the pale colors.

Next is Grizabella's design (my ring finger):

First, paint a coat of the mauve-y natural color (I really don't know what to call it, but it's beautiful!) over your entire nail.

Then, paint over the mauve with a thick coat of the silver glitter.

Now, taking your black detail brush, paint some intricate little squiggles on the sides of your nail. It doesn't have to be exactly like mine, you can mix it up. Just make sure it doesn't overpower the glitter. These squiggles were inspired by the running mascara in Grizabella's makeup.

Finally, just go over your nail again with a fairly thin coat of the glitter, just to shiny-up the new squiggles.

And that's it! Grizabella is complete! I love the old Hollywood glamour look that the glitter gives off over the mauve.

Time for Mistoffelees (my middle finger):

Like Victoria, start off by painting your whole nail white. You'll notice I have a small smudge on the side of my nail, but that's fine. As long as the smudge isn't in the middle, nobody will see it.

Now, using the black detail brush, do a couple of flicks to create a v-shape. This will just be a guideline for the next color. And don't forget to add Misto's bow tie!

Now, using the gunmetal glitter polish (which has a blue undertone when held up to light. I found this perfect, since Misto shoots blue lightning) and fill in the section of the nail you've marked off.

Now Mistoffelees is complete! This design captures the quirky, yet classy design of this very popular cat! You still see that smudge? I thought not.

Fourth on our list is Bombalurina (my pointer):

Start off by using the white to create a rough French tip that goes down to half your nail. Don't worry if it's not perfect, most of this you won't be able to see in the finished product anyway.

Now go over your nails with the red, leaving just a little bit of white at the tip. (I've found that with this particular polish I'm using here, it's best to apply two coats, or else the red will have a slight pink-ish tint to it.) The white from the French tip underneath will help give the red a nice transition effect, like Bomba's real costume.

Now, using the black detail brush, create a thick black stripe going across your nail. You can give it a little curve, but DO NOT get it in the corners. Then, create some sporadic dots on either side of the stripe, and create a very thin line around the tip of your nail.

And there you have it! Some say it looks like a ladybug, but I disagree. This design is fun, fiery, and slightly sexy - perfect for any Bombalurina lover.

And finally, Demeter (my thumb):

First, using the lighter Sephora gold, paint a thin coat all over your nail.

Now use the L.A. Colors gold and go over all your nail except the tip. This will give you the lovely gold gradient effect of Demie's costume.

Now, use the black detail brush and create some flicky lines all over the nail, almost like you're drawing black grass. Make sure all of the flicks are different lengths and adequately connected at the bed of your nail.

Now, Demeter is complete! This is my personal favorite. It came out really well and looks just like Demeter's costume!

Now your Jellicle manicures are all finished! I hope you enjoy these designs as much as I do. I'm very proud of them. Some I just wish I executed better (*coughVictoriacough*). If you try out any of these designs, feel free to send me pictures at:

In An Old House in Paris...

After finding the original cartoons for very cheap on iTunes, I have recently rekindled my adoration for everyone's favorite little French girl, Madeline.

I used to J'ADORE (if I'm spelling that right) Madeline when I was young. I even had a Madeline-themed birthday party. She was just the most adorable thing. I used to love the long car trips to my grandmother's house because she had the cartoons on tape, narrated by the wonderful Christopher Plummer (The Sound of Music), and I would fall asleep on the couch watching them over and over, humming the tunes in my dreams.

When I watched "Madeline's Rescue" for the first time in years last night, I cried. Like, really cried. Like, Doctor Who-David Tennant-Regeneration-cried. I even remembered that Genevieve comes back, and I still cried. The song "Have You Seen Our Dog?" just gets me every time. My pillow was very damp and I had to turn it over to sleep properly.

But even more than that, I have also rekindled my support of the innocent romance between Madeline and Pepito. (For those of you who don't remember, Pepito is the son of the Spanish Ambassador, and Madeline's next door neighbor.) They are SO adorable together. It even says on Wikipedia that Pepito possibly has a crush on her! Which makes sense, because the romance seems more apparent on Pepito's side anyway. But still, just the chemistry between them melts my heart, and in "Madeline In London", I love whenever Pepito and his family say "Madeline and the girls" instead of just "the girls". It makes me think like their putting a special emphasis that he misses Madeline the most.

*flailing squee*

And I also love how even after Pepito turns from naughty to nice, he still wears the Bad Hat (at least in the originals, he does. And in the newer cartoons there are mentions of it, and he wears it if it's cold outside). Even after it gets eaten by a flippin' hippopotamus! You don't mess with the Bad Hat. You just don't.

I'm sorry, I'm having a fangirl moment here. I just wanted to let you all know that I'm having a slight re-obsession with Madeline right now.

Castle Recap: Knockdown [WARNING: SPOILERS!!!]

Alright, first an apology is in order. I know I haven't done a Castle recap post since OCTOBER, but tonight's episode was just so...moving and so much happened that I had to get back in the habit.

>First of all, we've gotten much more further into Johanna's case. We found the guy who hired the killer. Now we just need to know who hired the guy that hired the killer. Yay for brining justice!

>I was blown away by Susan Sullivan and Ruben Santiago-Hudson tonight. Especially Ruben. Both of them are just gods of acting, and they deserve standing ovations. Like, ten minute standing ovations.

>I have to admit, I got, like, really worried when Esposito and Ryan got kidnapped. Though it was probably one of the most heart-tugging displays of friendship I have ever seen (except maybe that one scene in the parking garage in Season 2, where Ryan said, "I'm your partner; I'm with you 'til the wheels fall off."). But when Javie made that joke about him and the dude's mom, I just wanted to slap him. "YOU'RE GONNA GET YOURSELF KILLED!!" I wanted to scream. "THEN YOU AND LANIE CAN NEVER GET MARRIED!!"

I love how when Castle kissed her, it was the first kiss, but when Beckett kissed him it was the looong kiss. And the "that was amazing" and the little shiver that Castle got after they finished - it was just the icing on the cake! Oh, sure, there wasn't as much awkward after the kiss as I would have hoped, but that's what the next episode is for, right?

I swear, does anybody watch Castle like me? It's like a disease. Seriously, whenever there's a new episode on, my cheeks get red, my heart rate speeds up, my stomach starts shaking, and I feel just a hint dizzy. It's just such an intense show that I don't want to miss a single detail. And especially tonight, when the intensity was kicked up, like, five notches? Anytime my parents made the teeniest of noises, I shushed both of them like a ninja. My dad would constantly give me looks after especially dramatic scenes (at which I probably looked like a wreck), and I would always tell him to shut up. He just doesn't understand. When a show is this good, I really connect with the characters, and when they feel pain, I feel pain. I remember the tiniest details about their life and I know their morals. I really love them, and I can't imagine what I would do with myself if anything happened to any of them.

Okay, enough cheesy embarrassment. I'm sorry I haven't recapped in a while, I hope you all will forgive me.

It's the Stig poster that my parents ordered for me (aren't they sweet?). Now they didn't tell me about it until Christmas Day, when it was supposed to be here and wasn't. And we waited weeks until it finally arrived the day before my birthday! Apparently, British shipping doesn't like us very much.

But the point is, my walls now grace His Stigness' presence.

Some say...his knees bend backwards like a flamingo...and that he has made a dartboard the same shape as Ruben Barrichello's face. All WE know is, he's called The Stig.

A serious and powerful sorceress who comes to Mae for help.

The main villain of the story. He's very strategic and often takes his time with plans.

Just watched "Julie & Julia" for the first time. OMIGOD, it was so cute!

I think that Meryl Streep played Julia Child to a T. So fun and just a little over the top than normal human beings, but that's what I love about her - her charming and unique personality.

And for the other half of the movie, Amy Adams was a wonderful Julie. She was UBER adorable. You could really feel the love and respect she had for Julia, and the fun and heartache that she went through for her blog. And I could totally relate to her glee when she got comments on her blog, just like I do when I get reviews on my fanfics.

Bottom line: I think this movie is adorable and I would recommend it to anyone...over the age of 13, of course, because there are some language and vaguely adult-themed moments in there, including one F-bomb. But because of the wonderful acting and the charming story line, I'm considering letting that slide.

Ferrari Daytona is a Seducing Skank!

I'm sorry to you Ferrari junkies, but it just had to be said.

I just recently watched the episode of Top Gear (TOP GEAR IS WIN) where Richard raced James from Italy to France, James driving the BA speedboat that turned his camera green and broke his spine, and Richard in a 40 year old Ferrari Daytona.

And I didn't say anything aloud because I knew it would earn me some major geek and fangirl points, but inside I was FUMING because of Richard saying that he was falling in love with the car. And I was like, "NO, YOU DON'T! You love Oliver, remember?! He pulled you through the salt flats in Africa and THIS is how you repay him?!"

I am very tempted right now to make a love triangle fan video about that, but I'm not quite sure what song to use. Any ideas?

And, before I go, I just want to get this off my chest. In addition to being a hardcore Richard X Oliver shipper, I also ship Richard X Donkey on the side. (If you don't know who I'm talking about, the Donkey was Hamster's Toyota Land Cruiser that he drove through Bolivia.) I watched the Bolivia special WAY before I watched the Botswana special, and Richard X Donkey was my first Top Gear ship, so I kind of have a soft spot for them. But once I watched the Botswana special, Richard X Oliver bypassed them in the ranks by a long shot. I just wanted to get that off my chest before anyone came barreling down my door with a bazooka.

Odyssey Love?

It's true! We're reading The Odyssey in my English class right now, and just the other day we read the part when Odysseus finally leaves Calypso's isle after seven years. The whole time I could sense a little jealousy from Calypso about Penelope. Kind of like, "What's she got that I don't?" And before I knew it, "Tainted Love" was stuck in my head!

The Professor and Luke Make Me Weep

[WARNING: Major spoilers for the end of "Professor Layton and the Unwound Future". DO NOT read if you have not completed the game!]

Oh, good lord. *wipes tears off of face*

I may have lost some sleep, but I am proud to say that I have finished "Unwound Future" in a little under two days. And I have to say it was one of the most tear-jerking video games I have ever played.

But here's the weird part - I cried at everything I thought I would cry at, except for one scene.

...

No, it wasn't the scene where Chuck Norris the Rabbit was giving us his life story. *under breath* Idiots.

No, what I'm actually talking about is right before the ending credits, and Claire is saying goodbye to Layton before she has to go back to the explosion. I could feel myself wanting to cry, but I just couldn't. I don't know why. It's kind of like when I watched "Steel Magnolias" for the first time, and while my cousin (who forced me to watch it) was crying like a baby, I didn't shed a tear. And then Layton TAKES HIS HAT OFF! WTF?! Although, I always kind of thought his hair would be less tousled than that - NO! That's not the point! You'd think that he'd want to keep it on, since that's all he's got left of Claire, but the Professor never ceases to surprise me.

Actually, the real tear-jerking scene for me was after the credits, when Luke and the Professor are at the docks, and Luke has to leave. I just think that the friendship those two have is so beautiful, and when I saw Layton get a little teary, the dams just opened and I sobbed like no tomorrow. I know now that there in fact is going to be a fourth game in the series, but it's still sad that they have to be separated like that.

WHY?!?! WHY DID FUTURE LUKE/CLIVE HAVE TO BE THE BAD GUY?! HE WAS HOT!!!

Flora has a different voice actress in this game than in Diabolical Box. I want her old voice actress back. The new one makes her sound like a whiny little...word-I'm-too-classy-for. I really like Flora! (Secretly, I was looking for Luke X Flora tidbits throughout the whole game, but don't tell Luke! He might get mad at me!)

And speaking of voice actors/actresses, Granny Riddleton is in three games, and still fails to have a voice actress, and then Beasly and Puzzlette come along, and they get to talk right off the bat!! WTH? Yes, I like Granny Riddleton, shoot me. I just think the old dame needs some respect is all!

So, in case you didn't see my last blog post, I got the Cats DVD for Christmas.

Yeah. So, I thought, since I have it now, that I could get one of those DVD ripper program thingies from the Interwebs and get awesome new footage for my fanvids on YouTube.

UNfortunately, about the past 5 DVD rippers that I have downloaded either haven't worked, ripped the footage into a format that WMM couldn't identify, ripped the footage into a horrible quality, or didn't even make the download onto my hard drive.

Angry Jillylou is angry.

GRRRRRR.

I hate the Internet SO much right now.

I'm going to go back to Google and see if I can't find something that will actually work.

Okay, I watched some YouTube hacker guy and put in the code he gave me. It seems I've got the full version of the program now, but I won't thank him until I see how the clips come out, and if they can be used in WMM.

I have to say, I was skeptical about the whole thing. It seemed kinda shady to me. But wow, the clips came out beautifully! And they slo-mo SOO well! I'm very impressed!

I'm going to try and find a similar method to get me a full version of that Sony Vegas I've been wanting forever.

I just finished watching "The End of Time" for the first time.

Oh. Mah lord.

The Master is mental.

I'm not going to go into detail because, in reality, it WAS quite a lot to take in. But I am going to say that it left me very weepy. Extremely weepy.

Doctor Who episodes always seem to do that to me. He's just such a wonderful guy and you feel like you know him personally. The Doctor just has this life-changing effect on everybody, including the audience. He touches our hearts. Our singlular hearts.

Anyway, I felt very fuzzy at the last 20 or so minutes when they were going back to all of the Doctor's pals and companions. I actually felt quite sad that he couldn't say goodbye to Donna, but happier that Martha and Mickey ended up getting married. The scene with Captain Jack in the alien bar with Alonso was just priceless. I really hope we get to see some of him with Eleven sometime. He really needs to come back.

It really was a beautiful episode. David Tennant is a fabulous actor, and we are all very sad that the reign of Ten is over.

But the good news is, the first Eleven Christmas special is on it's way.

David and Matt are such different (yet awesome) Doctors; it's hard to choose between them. They often waver around with me, but Nine is way lower than either of them. (Sorry for all you Nine fans, he just seems more like a Navy Seal than a Doctor to me. And he needs to grow some hair.)

My latest obsession is a band called "Straight No Chaser" - it's an all a cappella group of ten guys that started the group when they were in college. They're AWESOME!! My favorite is Walter, the short(ish), Jewish one. Now, he'll never be John Barrowman, but he does have some attractive qualities that probably only me and his wife see.

ANYway.

They have two Christmas albums, and they are both AWESOME. It's amazing what they can do to a song. Just listen to their version of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and tell me it hasn't changed your life. SO CATCHY!! And their non-Christmas songs are really cool, too. So, as much as I hate to be the kind of person to endorse stuff, I really want you to go check out their stuff.

Castle Recap: Anantomy of A Murder [WARNING: SPOILERS!!!]

First of all, what the heck is going on with She-Witch (aka Gina)?! Are they trying to make her seem like an angel, since she's trying to be a good step-mother now? She can jump off a cliff for all I care. Then again, she and Big-Bad-Biker-Josh would be perfect for each other. She'd need a heart surgeon after I got my hands on her. Grr...

I know I haven't talked about this in, what, four weeks? But I have to say, the murder plot in this episode was quite genius. Does anyone know if Stephen J. Cannell worked on this before he died? I thought it was really awesome. I really couldn't expect what was coming until the last, oh, 5 minutes before it was cracked. (Plot twist!) It was actually a little heart wrenching at the end.

Okay, so the "I love you" moment wasn't what I expected. BUT!! Awkward moment much?! It was so adorable, I was literally squeaking and having a Thumper moment for maybe three minutes. And this doesn't have anything to do with this episode, but is it just me, or whenever Beckett and Castle have a moment (e.g. the "cherries" moment), Beckett always looks at Castle's mouth?! It's like she's expecting a kiss, or something! It's SO CUTE!! ^^

And then, the magical moment at the end.

"Oh, don't worry, Castle. I'd get you out."

My heart melted in my chest, and I was on the verge of tears. I just know now that somebody on FFN is going to write a fic about when Castle gets arrested (not for murder; we're not going through that again. Maybe he'll steal another police horse) and Beckett gets him out. I just know it. It won't be me, though, because I already have another post-fic planned. Along with a Thanksgiving special! ^^

Okay, that's enough of being a fangirl. I need to go get my sleep, now. Otherwise, I won't be able to stay conscious for next week's EPIC episode! I just have one thing to say, though. If Martha gets shot, those writers will be hearing from my non-existent lawyer. Meaning that Tamala Jones may just have to put all that ME research to good use. *maniacal laughter*

Castle Recap: Punked [WARNING: SPOILERS!!!]

Alright, I'm just gonna skip right to the end, because aside from that there was almost ZERO Caskett fluff.

ZOMGWTFGRRSAYWHAAAAT?!?!

1. Where the h-e-double hockey sticks did Big Bad Biker Dude come from, and why did Beckett have her arm wrapped around his lower back?!

2. How many flippin' fires do we need to light under Castle? Apparently, three because of number 4.

3. Was it just me, or did Castle agreeing to Alexis' saying "being in love is exhausting" melt your heart?

4. O...M...F...G...Did you see the promo for next week's ep? 0_0 When I heard those three glorious, heaven sent words, I nearly stopped breathing. My back nearly had a hot flash. And they actually came out of his mouth at that time! We saw his lips move! ABC is telling the truth for once! And then they turn pure evil the next second, and make us wait A FULL 7 DAYS before we can hear those three glorious words actually spoken! GRRRRR!!!! That's 168 hours!! I don't know if I'll live that long!

And now, that I've gotten that off my chest, some other quips I liked about this episode:
~Martha assuring to Castle it was "diva's honor". ^^

~Castle talking all science-geeky. I was biting my nails waiting for someone to make a Doctor Who reference, even though I know it wasn't coming.

~I don't know about you, but I felt so sorry for Javie in this ep. Although, even though he wasn't fully healed, that prank he pulled at the end was pretty epic. Teehee. Javie. It's so fun calling him that.

Uh, I think that's about it. OH, hey, is it just me, or is Alexis' new BF one of the three clone guys from Secret Life of the American Teenager? I swear, my mom and I can NEVAR tell them apart.

A Whole Mess of Tumblectra...?

Not that I'm complaining or anything, but anyone notice the mini-bandwagon of Tumblebrutus/Electra stories on FFN going right now? 'Cause don't get me wrong, I was always convinced they were an adorable couple. But the fact that their usually underdone is what's confusing me. I mean, usually, Ellie is paired with Misto or Pouncival (both of those pairings I think reek, but that's my opinion). And Tumble is most of the time with Jemima! (Bleck...) I'm just saying, is there something about the Halloween spirit that gets everybody into underdone (but still totally cute) pairings? And to add to the fire, I'm writing a Tumblectra story for a contest! (RumTumTuggress' fluffy contest, to be precise)

Just wanted to get that out there. Tumblectra rules and that's that.

Castle FAIL Recap: Under the Gun [WARNING: VERY MILD SPOILERS]

Up front, I apologize greatly for waiting this long to post my recap for this week's Castle episode. School has just had me swamped and I've also been working on a large secret project on the side (other than my Halloween costume). And on top of that madness, this episode wasn't exactly reeking with Caskett-ness, so I don't really remember all of what happened anymore, and I'm too lazy to go re-watch it. So, to make up for my complete failage this week, I have two presents for you.

One is this graphic that I made. The quote I got from one of the backgrounds on my new and beloved "Backgrounds" app for my iPod. (It's under the Love category.) You may take it as you wish, just be sure to credit me.

Plan for Teazer Costume

First of all, thanks to Lady Jemima, for having such an awesome costuming site, and MissaCatlover for recommending her site to me!

For the unitard, we're either going to sew together a thin white turtleneck and some white leggings. I'm sure we can get some decent fabric paints at Hobby Lobby.

We'll be using some fake fur for the warmers, and a boa for the tail. For the wig, our best option is getting a normal synthetic hair wig, cutting it like Doctor Who, styling it like Teazer, and sewing some ears on it. All will be colored with spray paint.

The shoulder fluffies will be made with shredded organza. I hope.

I am still in the dark about the makeup. If anyone knows some cheap brands of face makeup/face paint that will be good for long wear, please comment and tell me. I don't want to be Rumpleteazer with a human face. Pretty much all we need is the orangish gold. I've got some white left over from a past costume.

Castle Recap: He's Dead, She's Dead [WARNING: SPOILERS!!!]

Castle Recap: A Deadly Affair [WARNING-SPOILERS!!]

Hi. It's me again. Back from the eh-pik Castle Season 3 premiere! And may I just say that...

The Caskett is in the air! Praise the Lord!

The mystery in general (which I'm sure most of you were only hearing in the background while waiting for another "cherries" moment) was very well thought out and left me stumped for quite a while. And though it was a little funny with Castle at one crime scene, I facepalmed at the second one. Though, as I predicted, actual suspicion of him was out the window within 15-20 minutes.

Speaking of predictions, remember that awesome scene at the almost end with Castle and Beckett in the alleyway? And they both had guns? And the promo made it look like Castle was gonna shoot Beckett? And it turned out that the baddies were both behind each other and they did this really cool psych-out over-the-shoulder thingamawhosit? I SO PREDICTED THAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN!! Only with just Castle, but if you wanna have Beckett shoot her gun, then don't let me stand in your way.

I did like in this episode how Ryan and Esposito are getting more screentime and we're diggin deeper into their personalities. I hope they continue to do this, 'cause I personally love Beckett's boys, especially Ryan. Though, I am a tad confused. Why were the boys all giving Castle the cold shoulder? Was it because he only apologized to Beckett for not calling, or were they being protective of Beckett, knowing how Castle had hurt her? I am in the dark.

Anyway, I love how they're still using the simple Alexis examples to kind of show Castle how to act with Beckett to get where he (and hopefully she, too) wants to be. I always find that so innovative.

Did you notice how after Castle's interrogation, we kind of stuck a nerve with Beckett? And then, the whole rest of the episode, we act as if it never happens?? WTH? I really wanted them to expand on that, and have a total melty moment! Ah well, no episode is perfect.

Random comments and whatnot from the last few Doctor Who episodes I've watched.

>First of all, I think I now have a clinical phobia of weeping angels. Seriously. I can tell when they're going to eat someone and my heart still plunges out of my chest.

It was that one where they went to the end of the universe, and there were all these human...ish things that had pointy teeth, and they were trying to get to "Utopia", but the bumbling little professor/scientist couldn't get the rocket going.

Now, hear me out, he'll never ever EVAR be David Tennant. No matter how hard he tries. He just won't. But he does have some Doctor-ish qualities all his own. He's a different kind of Doctor, and I like him for different reasons. But, once again, David Tennant is still number one. And always will be.

It's true! She actually can! Or, did. It was all in the really late 90's and it was like the super-pop bubble gum cheese stuff, but it actually sounds good after you listen to it a couple times!

Don't even take my word for it, and check out the music video for my favorite Billie song. I know it's very reminiscent of early Britney Spears, but just be open minded and watch the dang thing!

Yesterday:
Watching all the videos on YouTube that I can, and envying how the creators have that wonderful Sony Vegas whatever program that I want so bad but I know the free trial won't last long and I don't like paying six hundred some odd dollars for something that's just going to kill my computer in the end anyway. *breathes*

Today:
I may have found a solution. Not quite Vegas, but close.

iMovie. V. 7.1.4 to be precise.

I've found a (reliable) place on the web where I can download it for free onto my PC. And it's totally free. The biggest turn on is that it has picture-in-picture, which is what I thought I would use the most if I got a program that could do that. Plus, there's this singer/songwriter/musician chick I watch on YouTube named Meghan Tonjes (She's amazin'! Go check her out! --> http://www.youtube.com/user/tonjesml) who has iMovie, and I've seen what she can do with it. I'm pretty confident that it's just what I want/need.

But why am I skeptical? Am I not ready to let go of Windows Movie Maker yet? It's been with me since the very early days of YouTube.

Speaking of YouTube, on that same website, I've seen a lot of "video downloaders" which are basically supposed to take a vid on YouTube or something and put it directly onto your computer for your use. If they really get the best quality that their talking about, I may consider using it to replace all my Cats clips that I shot with Hypercam. 'Cause whenever I want to slo-mo them or something, or even get a close up, even when their in a good quality, it just doesn't look real, like when you watch the DVD. (Am asking for that for Christmas! Along with a Nook and a buttload of Best Buy gift cards!) I may consider getting that as well.

I'm very conflicted. It never takes me long to get used to new software, but this is a big step. This could improve how my videos come out by 10 fold. Should I go for it?

Okay, so we're reading Great Expectations by Charles Dickens in my English class right now, and everyone is hating it except me.

My English teacher was explaining to the class one day about the people who live around the main character in the marshes ('cause this book takes place in the Victorian period in England).

"One thing you should know about Dickens is that he liked to do a lot of phonetic spelling. That's why some of this dialogue can look so funny. The people of the lower class in this time period often spoke with cockney accents."

And my head. Snaps. Up.

Probably the whole rest of the class period he's talking in a cockney accent, and I just can't help but want to burst out laughing.

I already know all of this, dude. Because of these two notorious nuts.

In case you don't know, Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer sing and speak with cockney accents. (Or at least they used to. When I went to see the show live in April, they talked like Americans. *huff*) It was totally hilarious! All I could think about for the rest of school (which actually wasn't very long, because I have English last period) was "Muhngojehrie and Rumpolteazah, wehre a notorious coupleh a cats! As knohkabouht clowns, quick chainge comeadions, toight rope wolkahs and acrobats!"

(I know. My cockney accent spelling sucks. That's why I don't use it in my fanfics.)

In other news...

That day also happened to be the day that the Season 5 finale of Psych (USA) premiered. Now, I've been kind of watching Psych for a while now. I knew all the basics: a fake psychic detective, who in reality is just extremely observant, working with the SBPD and creating hilarious hijinks while solving murders. There's also a secret pineapple in every episode. I never really got into it, but I thought it was a good show.

Well, the day before, there was absolutely ZILCH on TV, so I went to the free section of on demand and picked out (what I thought was) a vaguely new Psych episode.

Called "Shawn 2.0".

And I watched. I mean I actually watched and tried to solve the murder and followed the characters and whispered "Plot twist!" under my breath like you all know you do.

And I had a lightbulb moment.

Shules.

(P.S. You have no idea what heck I went through to find a picture of them together, where we could both see their faces, that hadn't been turned into a graphic.) I fell in love with this pairing. Especially since it has basis. Before I thought it was just something the crazies of FanFiction had put together (such as Shassie. *shudders* I won't even get into that). But when I saw this episode, I completely went "AwwwWWW!!" at the adorable-ness and CANON-ness of this couple!

So of course, what do I do? I pan for fan fics. Reading possibly everything Shules I can get my hands on. The next night. The premiere of the finale. (How does that not contradict itself?!) I take a shower early and cozy up on my teeny couch and watch. Daddy is happy, of course, because it's a Jason Bourne-themed episode. I giggle at possibly everything Lassiter says, make claw marks in the air at Declan (it's Demming REBORN!! REBORN I SAY!!), and then...just after that Nadia chick gets taken away...and Shawn starts talking to Gus...I can feel my face get hot (which is some weird quirk I have when I watch really good TV. Don't ask) and I keep pressing my hands to my face and squeaking and holding my breath. My eyebrows go up in a ^, feeling like Shawn's gonna make me cry.

Then we wait a while for Shawn to figure out who the bad guy REALLY is ("Plot twist!")...and then we go to Declan's mansion again. *huff* Declan and Gus go upstairs, and then...Jules comes in. My hands immediately go up to my mouth.

"Well, have a great four days off."

"It's two weeks, Shawn."

"Whoa...that's lengthy. That's significant. That's...a real amount of vacation time..."

The rest of the time Shawn talks, I wonder who's gonna cry first, Jules or me.

And just when I think I'm gonna break...

...

*smooch*

*cue Enya album*

OMIGOD! The Shules-age! I had literally just become a Shules supporter THE FLIPPIN' DAY BEFORE! It's like someone dropped the golden goose egg. Into. Mah. Lap.

The good thing about this is that we only have to wait until November for new episodes. Which isn't such a long wait. (Considering the wait Castle put us through. 9 DAYS LEFT! AND THEN THE CASKETT WILL RESUME!!)

It's me! Jill! Or Jillylou. Or VarietyChick/VC if you're here from my YouTube. Or UniqaChica if you're here from my FanFiction. Anyway...

And this is my very first blog post! *party poppers* I've wanted a blog for a long time, because I've always wanted to put my thoughts out on the internet, but I never really had a proper place to do so.

Okay, enough cheese & corn.

You will see me write about many many MANY different fandoms on this blog.

Some things will be constant. I hope to start doing Project Runway, ABC's Castle, and Psych episode recaps.

You will also see me write about plenty of Cats. As in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical. A lot of people think it's weird, but I beg to differ. If you don't like Cats, you can still check out my other fandom posts, but no flames. Please. Getting burned is no fun. :'(

I've also slightly turned into a Whovian (or fan of Doctor Who) and you may see me write about some things related to that as well.
